If you are doubting the things that you have always believed but are afraid to question, you are not alone.

If you are doubting the choices you have made, you are not alone.

If you could go back and change some of your choices, you are not alone.

If you wish things were simpler, you are not alone.

If you hate to be corrected, you are not alone.

If you hate to be the one correcting, you are not alone.

If you wish every animal could be treated well, you are not alone.

If you cry when your sports team loses, you are not alone.

If you want to have your cake and eat it too, you are not alone.

If you just want some freaking cake, you are not alone.

If you don’t like being considered a heathen or immoral because you aren’t Christian, you are not alone.

If you don’t like being considered hypocritical or judgmental just because you are Christian, you are not alone.

If you want your children to be disciplined but don’t want to discipline them, you are not alone.

If you are sick of being included in a group that looks hateful, misogynistic, and backwards, you are not alone.

If you want everyone to be seen as equals, you are not alone.

If you want to be allowed to practice your faith how you see fit, you are not alone.

If you wish there was no more hurt in the world, you are not alone.

If you love chocolate and wish it had no calories, you are not alone.

If you hate it when your show gets cancelled, you are not alone.

If you ever feel like strangling your spouse with your bare hands but don’t, you are not alone.

If you hate waiting in line at Wal-Mart when there are a thousand lanes but only two are open, you are not alone.

If you have ever cussed someone out behind the safety of your car windows, you are not alone.

If you fart in public and quickly leave your spouse behind to look like they did it, you are not alone.

If you cry at night over your children’s hurts, you are not alone.

If you just need a good cry for no reason, you are not alone.

If you can stay up late to watch a Lord of the Rings marathon but fall asleep in church, you are not alone.

If you ruin your meal by eating all of the chips and salsa at restaurants, you are not alone.

If you wish other Christians would sometimes just shut up, you are not alone.

If you wish I would sometimes just shut up, you are not alone.

If you miss that someone so much you can’t breathe, you are not alone.

If you take off your bra as soon as you get home, you are not alone.

If you cry over kid’s movies, you are not alone.

If you just want to scream at the top of your lungs, you are not alone.

If sometimes you feel so discouraged that you can’t get out of bed, you are not alone.

No matter what you are going through, just know that you are not alone. Whether it be your faith, your love, your friends and family, or whoever – there is someone out there who knows what you are going through and will understand. If you don’t have someone to talk to when things go wrong, find someone. Anyone.

Here is a number you can call if things ever get to be too much. 1-800-273-TALK. Call it. Don’t keep that stuff in.

It will be okay. Just remind yourself that every day. And find someone to lean on. If you can’t find anyone, come to me. I’ll be here.

You. Are. Not. Alone.
